How to Prepare a Luxury Home for Photo and Video Day
The best production days are won before the crew arrives. Use this checklist to protect the schedule and strengthen every final image.
The Address Agency ·

The camera notices what everyday eyes stop seeing. A prepared property allows the crew to spend the day creating—not clearing counters, moving cars, or waiting on access. We send a property-specific version of this checklist before every production.
Exterior
- Move vehicles away from the driveway and primary elevation.
- Hide bins, hoses, pool equipment, toys, tools, and maintenance supplies.
- Clean the pool and remove cleaning equipment before the crew arrives.
- Test landscape, pool, fountain, and exterior lighting before a twilight session.
- Complete landscaping one or two days before production, not during the shoot.
Interior
- Clear kitchen and bathroom counters as much as possible.
- Remove personal papers, medicines, visible cords, remotes, and unnecessary appliances.
- Replace failed bulbs and keep color temperature consistent within each room where practical.
- Clean windows, mirrors, glass railings, and high-gloss surfaces.
- Make beds, align furniture, open blinds consistently, and secure pets.
Agent-Led Segments
- Confirm who will appear on camera before production day.
- Review the talking points in advance, but do not memorize them word for word.
- Wear solid, refined colors and avoid fine patterns or prominent logos.
- Arrive early enough for a sound check and on-camera direction.
Access and Timing
We schedule around light, weather, access, building rules, and the requested deliverables. Confirm gate codes, elevator reservations, parking, HOA requirements, and any restricted areas in advance. Once the brief is approved, we provide the final preparation guide and production schedule.
